In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Symbol.”
The butterfly effect
The scientific theory that a single occurrence, no matter how small, can change the course of the universe forever.
The theory that everything that happens must happen; that you can’t save one thing without destroying something else. Coming from the idea of a butterfly caught in a spider’s web. You can’t save the butterfly without killing the spider (through violence or starvation).
Theory that everything matters. That even the flutter of a butterfly’s wings can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world. If you change even the smallest of life’s details, you completely change its outcome.
The butterfly is a symbol of beauty but more than that, for me it encapsulates the existence of the ripple effect.
Someone once told me that every good deed creates a ripple effect and I truly believe that:)
Our world is full of endless unknowns but one thing I am sure off is that ‘good creates great’, that giving enables others to gift even more…that a smile can sometimes dry out tears and even if we feel lonely, we are never alone:)
The butterfly…what does it mean to you?
I am also posting for Lucile’s Photo 101 Rehab…a place of constant greatness.

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Off-Season.”
There are moments in our life when solitude is needed…
When a second spent with ourselves, can be the right choice,
When waking up alone doesn’t mean being lonely,
It is just time spent with our thoughts…our dreams and wishes.
Like the bare trees of autumn which lost their leaves to the wind
Never seem to be lonely
As they dream of snow white blankets only…
Day Five on my Photo 101 Course – Solitude and “the rule of thirds”
I really enjoyed today’s assignment…maybe because I look at solitude from of different perspective:)
I hope you’ve enjoyed my post and I hope to see you again paging through my red page:)
I would like also to link my post to The Clinic Rehab Photo 101, a place where all photo lovers can release their passion for the visual effects that life is offering us every day:)
Presenting The Clinic…just knock and be yourself!
This blog hosted ‘The Photo101 Rehab Clinic’ from 04 to 31 December 2014 and featured over 170 photos made by Photobloggers Andy Townend, Mara Eastern, Cardinal Guzman, DesleyJane, Justine, Amy, Teresa, Albert, Terri, Giving Thought, Ellen, Nalinki, Mariangeles, DwayCrafts, Lucy, Terri, Bampa’s Views, PeaceCrafting, Dreaming of Leaving and Project Easier.
As former patients informed me that the withdrawal symptoms remained active, and new patients recognized the same symptoms, The Clinic – Photo Rehab reopened its doors.
You can do a self-examination. If you detect any of the following symptoms, as carefully described by Albert from the blog Passionately Curious, come and join us: “Withdrawal symptoms may include the incessant need to carry your camera everywhere with you, the need to wake up in the wee hours to take photos during the golden hour, and checking up on others you met during the course to see what their newfound knowledge has brought fruit to.”
How to join:
Time: The Clinic is open 24 x 7 until the healing process ends.
Camera: You can use any camera, from DSLR, mirrorless, compact, to smartphones.
Theme: Bring your creativity and photograph a theme of your liking in B&W or Color. With or without edition. We like learning techniques as well, if you want to share it with everyone.
Who can join: Anyone can join; and not only former Photo 101 bloggers. All you need is passion. Passion to speak up through images – or words, if you may want to add your thoughts to it as well – showing what you see and how much that is important to you.
Thanks for joining and enjoy it.
