Writing 101 – Day Fifteen

I am slightly tired…but I am enjoying this writing experience too much to miss any of it…so, come on Jules and get your inspiration pen out and see what can you scribble:)

Today’s assignment: ‘Your Voice Will Find You’ – Today’s Prompt: Think about an event you’ve attended and loved. Your hometown’s annual fair. That life-changing music festival. A conference that shifted your worldview. Imagine you’re told it will be cancelled forever or taken over by an evil corporate force.

“The wonderful event that is life”

Do you ever feel like the sky is closing up on you…and the air becomes un-breathable?

…and when you look up, you can still see a drop of light but you’re afraid it’s not going to last…very soon the sky will be entirely dark and you might lose your way…

This is an event most of us have the sad privilege to say that we attended!

We tend to forget about it as soon as that sky is splashed again with sunshine and clear blue horizons, but in the back of our mind there is still a small trace of the sadness that made us once forget who we are or where we’re heading.

I’ve recently read an amazing book where the writer, an explorer of the mystical and the unknown talks about “The second mind” and at first I didn’t really understand what it’s all about but looking at random events in our life, how we think we can forget the negative and always just concentrate on the good…I’ve finally understood.

“The second mind”, it’s that voice that you cannot put to rest when you have other things to think about, when an event in your life affected you in a more or less negative way and in time you convinced yourself it’s all forgotten but somehow it’s always there, like a shadow of your other thoughts.

We might call it subconscious…the white flag of our ship.

Either way, it’s a voice we should listen and learn from…

There are moments in our life that we want to forget…maybe we think that if we don’t, we’ll get stuck under the black sky, but you know what…we fail to see that every moment in our life, every event we went through, may that be good or bad, made us what we are today.

So concentrate on the light and the good in your life but never neglect to learn from those moments of tears and sorrow because the joy and the pain live together within each of us.

Life is the wonderful agony between what we think we want and what we really need…and all the choices that lead us towards our eventful journey!

Just live it…

Note from the author:

I tried to find my voice but I believe My voice was somewhere hidden…

I’ve tried something different, something that I’ve found more challenging, just random thoughts…Life is an event on its own and I enjoy writing about emotional journeys!

Thank you for taking this leap with me:)
