Thank you to all of you for taking this journey with me:)
Today’s assignment: ‘Don’t stop the rocking’ – Today is a free writing day. Write at least four-hundred words, and once you start typing, don’t stop. No self-editing, no trash-talking, and no second guessing: just go. Bonus points if you tackle an idea you’ve been playing with but think is too silly to post about.
I’ve realised not so long ago that saying out loud “I am a writer”, sounded silly…
I didn’t really understand why…even if for such a long time – the pen and paper was a way to escape – I still never thought of myself as a writer. Perhaps in my mind, a writer is the author of a published book, a person whose name sounds familiar to strangers…I don’t know.
Along the way…these past few weeks taught me that to be a writer you don’t need a title…that inspiration can come from anywhere and anything…that sometimes admitting something to yourself, makes it more real…that a few words of encouragement from others can take you a long way…
So today I am going to take this opportunity to thank all of you, fellow bloggers and writers with whom I took this journey of self discovery…thank you for every second you’ve taken from your own precious time, to read my posts, my attempts of self-improvement :), thank you for all the amazing words you’ve left behind, all the positive criticism and spelling error highlights :)) – because you might not realise this, but I became better thanks to you.
The truth is that no matter what we do in life we need each other…for support, for a kind word or for validation…either way we were built to live and discover the world together.
I know now that the road to success starts from within…
From the moment of self acceptance until the finish line, our journey will be filled with unexpected connections, new discoveries, amazing opportunities, highs and lows…all with one thing in common, we will never be alone!
I am proud to say today that I AM A WRITER and no matter if my art will be one day discovered or not, I feel that I am one step closer to accomplish a dream!
I will continue to paint the town red, bring to life stories that were just images once, support and encourage anyone who needs it and enjoy life as it comes – sweeten the lemon juice with more sugar:)))
