‘The view from the (w) edge’

” A girl’s best friends…shoes, shoes and shoes “

Did you ever counted how many shoes you have?

I’ve been planning that for a while…I am sure it’s not going to happen for one single reason…I know I don’t have enough:))))))!

In every fashion post I have the same advice when it comes down to choose your wardrobe…

Fashion has no purpose if it’s not a true expression of you!

Always feel good being you !

This weeks fashion post it’s very close to my heart, it brings together three things I simply adore: Red – Wedges –  Shoes.

The view from above:)

The spring/summer of 2015 finds us totally in love with wedges. This year we have a colourful view on fashion and footwear it’s not very behind.

We pack up the black and grey, remove the dust from the box that says “Summer” and line up a brand new collection…might that be sparkly sandals, flip-flops or beautiful elegant wedges.

Personally I find wedges having the most comfortable heel…plus you can always dress it up or dress it down!

Most of us look at wedges and see it as a piece from the holiday wardrobe or just a pair of sandals you would wear casually. You might be right…but let’s improvise a bit:)

Look at a pair of completely closed up wedges…suddenly they become an option for a more formal outfit!

There are multiple colours available to play with…if you’re lucky and you can get away with wearing other than black and white, grey and cream as workwear…a bit of colour can be your next best friend.

Heels always make me feel so much more confident and let’s be honest, we all look better wearing them…wedges can be a more comfortable alternative for a more elegant look but at the same time more practical.

As you probably might know…my favourite colour is red:)

Red is not always the highlight of the catwalk but I always try to integrated within my other favourite oldies and newbies! From shoes to small accessories, never forget about what you really love the most, might that be a colour, a print or a comfort piece…always make it part of your own trend:)

Paging through some fashion magazines I am surprised how very little I can find practicality in outfit building… it’s an absolute given that fashion is made to look good but at the same time it has a purpose…

We tend to forget that the purpose of a trend/ fashion can be decided by the ones who wear it!

So be bold and decisive…choose to be stylish without the beauty discomfort!

Choose the shoes that love your feet…

Love the wedge…don’t live on the edge!

Did you ever think about fashion as art?

As you might already know:), I love Fashion…and not  because I love cloths or dressing up…it’s because I love how fashion can be an expression of myself, of what or how I feel at one point in my life…

I love that I am free to choose how I want the world to see me…that style it’s just the other side of my personality!

This week I choose to talk about RED…surprised? I don’t think so:))))

Little Red Riding Hood

I believe Style it’s the artistic way we look at our reflection in the mirror… Fashion can be the journey that takes us one step closer to finding the art in ourselves.

This Week’s Fashion Tip!

  • Less It’s Always More…add just a bit of what you like…might that be a red piece, a flower print, a monochrome element or some of the rainbow colours. Maximise what you have by loving it and bring it to life with the right combination.
  • Inspiration comes when you less expect it… Feel good being you…Never Try to be Someone Else!
  • Extend your personality through Fashion…Through colour or Style!
  • Let yourself be Happy…follow a trend or stick to your Own Couture:)
  • Always have Passion!

That famous Red Heel!

Fashion it’s all about perspective…some love it, some don’t…we all look at the same thing but see completely different things! That’s why I know that fashion it’s not all about colour, fabric, cut and style…it’s about how all those things make you feel!

How does Fashion make You feel?

From Me to You

Fashion makes me smile…makes me enjoy myself…

It makes me dream and gives me the confidence to follow those dreams!

What does make you dream?

What’s your ‘something red’?

I was flipping through Vogue this morning while enjoying a hot mocha with a hint of Baileys and I love this year’s trend…full of colour, flowers and birds and most of all, the beautiful polka dots and nautical stripes. I never was, myself, an owner of loads of stripes but what I can say is that you can find a few dots in my wardrobe:)))

When I’ve said polka dots, I should have mentioned that they never looked better on anything but red!

I saw this dress on http://www.bonprix.co.uk and I think it looks just sweet and might I say ‘very in’ fashion .

So if you like what you see, you should definitely join the “polka dot club”.

The secret power of an elegant red heel!

I love red as you might all know by now, mix and match with everything,  but a pair of classy red shoes doesn’t need anything else, it’s a statement piece on its own.

Never save the best for later, life it’s too short, so go ahead and find that one thing in your closet that makes you feel special or that out-shines any other fashion piece you own and take it out for a walk:)

That little red dress!

Roses are red, violets are blue…and this red dress it’s just for you:)

You can never go wrong with a red piece, especially if this spring you add a military jacket.

This season it’s not about when can you wear red, it’s more about how you wear it, so be adventures and bold; red is not for everyone but no one will stop you trying it!

PS. Next week more about what’s in this season, some stylish work-wear and how I colour coordinate:)
