Another week of sharing our thoughts with images…

I love so much these photo challenges and in today’s post, it’s all about strong emotions…nothing is stronger than love:)

I would like to also link this post to Photo Rehab 101…a place where you can share your passion for photography and connect with some great bloggers. One of my lovely fellow bloggers, Lucile, introduced me to the Rehab Clinic Photo 101…thanks again! Have a look at her page, there are some amazing stories and photos,  that will inspire you:)

Here is the address for the Rehab Clinic, if you share the same symptoms:)

This blog hosted ‘The Photo101 Rehab Clinic’ from 04 to 31 December 2014 and featured over 170 photos made by Photobloggers Andy Townend, Mara Eastern, Cardinal Guzman, DesleyJane, Justine, Amy, Teresa, Albert, Terri, Giving Thought, Ellen, Nalinki, Mariangeles, DwayCrafts, Lucy, Terri, Bampa’s Views, PeaceCrafting, Dreaming of Leaving and Project Easier.

As former patients informed me that the withdrawal symptoms remained active, and new patients recognized the same symptoms, The Clinic – Photo Rehab  reopened its doors.

You can do a self-examination. If you detect any of the following symptoms, as carefully described by Albert from the blog Passionately Curious, come and join us: “Withdrawal symptoms may include the incessant need to carry your camera everywhere with you, the need to wake up in the wee hours to take photos during the golden hour, and checking up on others you met during the course to see what their newfound knowledge has brought fruit to.”

How to join:

Time: The Clinic is open 24 x 7 until the healing process ends.

Camera: You can use any camera, from DSLR, mirrorless, compact, to smartphones.

Theme: Bring your creativity and photograph a theme of your liking in B&W or Color. With or without edition. We like learning techniques as well, if you want to share it with everyone.

Who can join: Anyone can join; and not only former Photo 101 bloggers. All you need is passion. Passion to speak up through images – or words, if you may want to add your thoughts to it as well – showing what you see and how much that is important to you.

Thanks for joining and enjoy it.

Have a blooming weekend:)

Writing 101 – Day Twenty

It’s the final day of Writing 101!

I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, learned a lot, read even more:) and connected with some amazing people!

Today’s assignment: ‘The things we treasure’ – It’s the final day of the challenge already?! Let’s make sure we end it with a bang — or, in our case, with some furious collective tapping on our keyboards. For this final assignment, lead us through the history of an object that bears a special meaning to you.

‘Hidden treasures under our feet’

Thinking about things I treasure…

Throughout our life we collect things, moments…with time they become memories, we hold on to them and turn them into treasures.

I can’t count all the objects I’ve kept and locked in the memory box…each and every piece has a sentimental value and it’s a proof of wonderful moments that I was lucky enough to be part of.

…but if I look closer, it’s not the things I treasure… it’s the memories that come with them! So, today…the last assignment for this writing challenge I will open my memory box and share with you my most-prized possession:)

“…the sun never felt so warm…it was 7 o’clock in the morning and all I could think of was him. I know we always said that today will be like any other day…we didn’t need to prove anything…we knew each others souls, we knew we belonged, but even so, today was the day we will pledge our love in front of God, our family, our amazing friends and somehow everything will become more real.

I don’t know why I’ve said that…it was real before, but it was missing something…our hearts were longing for something…the blessing.

Now, thinking back, everything it’s a blur…I have all these pictures to remind me of that day and I treasure them dearly but my soul values the vows we took…those unforgettable moments when everyone and everything is in perfect line with the Universe and the land and the sky celebrates the union of two spirits.

My heart was racing, I’ve spent the morning crying and I wondered why people say that this is the most amazing day of your life…surely I am not the only bride who feels this way on her big day?! I wasn’t crying because something was wrong…I felt flooded with all these emotions and they all came at once…happiness, love, hope, peace, relief, fear.

…walking down the ail…it’s like being in a boat, in the middle of the sea, desperately looking for land…

…but then, I saw him and my heart was filled with love, endless love…he was my light house, guiding me towards the rest of our life…”

Final note from the author:)

I was, I am and always will be in love with love…a hopeless romantic, you may say:)

The truth is that I value feelings more than anything, emotional experiences through which the world uncovers its beauty and leads us towards the unknown…the amazingly beautiful unknown, which awaits to be discovered.

The secret to uncover our destiny it’s simple…don’t walk the path alone, because together we are stronger, better and happier!

‘A walk in the clouds’

This weekend I was slightly out of ideas of what movies to watch…but going through my collection, I’ve found an interesting one! Guess what…it’s another love story:)))

This movie had all sorts of reviews, but at the end of the day, you decide if you’ve liked it or not!

I remember enjoying the story and honestly I would watch it again:)

Director: Alfonso Arau

Writers: Robert Mark Kamen, Mark Miller, Harvey Weitzman, Piero Tellini, Cesare Zavattini, Vittorio de Benedetti

Lead actors: Keanu Reeves, Aitana Sanchez-Gijon

1995, Drama Romance

The story it’s about love and the fascinating way that we can find what we need in the most unpredictable ways.

Paul is a returned soldier trying to overcome the horror of the war and a heart-break, when he meets Victoria, a beautiful traveler returning home with a secret.

Their story revolves around a selfless and quick decision that Paul takes to help Victoria by posing as her husband for her family. When both find themselves in a situation that none of them could have foreseen, their life will change in a way they couldn’t have imagined.

This movie it’s another way of telling a love story…a way that is random and surprising …a way that we realise what it means to be in the right place at the right time… a way that love teaches us how to find it…

Some believe in destiny, some…in luck and some live their life comfortable without knowing what will come…

This movie has it all…faith, surprise and a written story for two people brought together by chance.

Love it’s there when you need it the most…it’s never asking for more than you can give and it’s always your decision if you want to follow it!

Hope you enjoy your weekend and relax with a mug of hot chocolate watching a memorable movie!

Writing 101 – Day Thirteen

I’ve just closed my eyes for a second and thought of something I found…

Today’s assignment: ‘Serially found’ –  Today’s Prompt: write about finding something.

DSC02584

” A table for two “

It was late in the evening and I was just happy that we’ve all made it…we were together, feeling happy, enjoying the music and silly jokes.

One of my colleague brought some of her friends along…more the merrier.

“ I always like to meet new people “, thought that crossed my mind.

*

…and here he was!

I don’t seem to remember the moment I saw him for the first time, but I can still feel his arms around me when he asked me to dance.

Do you know that feeling when everything seems to be in the right place?…it’s like the whole Universe smiles down on you while holding your hand…guiding you towards the unknown and you don’t seem to mind, because you know deep inside, that is the road you should be on…

**

Love it’s a strange thing… people talk about love at first sight, that uncontrollable feeling of desiring someone with your heart and body…like an every day thing; it’s really not!

People connect with one another on a deeper level…that first look it’s like an invisible bridge we build in seconds hoping that what’s on the other side it’s mainly a reflection of our own soul…yes, because finding love it’s like discovering the other half of your soul, the part that we’ve been missing and need to have in order to be truly happy.

I want to talk about love at first story, because that is one of the reasons I fell in love and found what’s on the other side of that bridge…a part of me I didn’t know I was missing.

***.

We’ve sat down and started talking…and out of nowhere I found myself listening to a story from his childhood…a story that made me want to go back in time and just hug that sweet boy…

I smiled and thought about the last time I felt close to anyone…couldn’t remember!

It took another week until I saw him again…we thought to go back where we first met:)

We were already celebrating the past…that magic that brought us together in the same place at the right time.

But this time, it was ‘table for two’…a bottle of wine and loads of laughter.

I still remember the first kiss…the first beat of my heart when I knew I found love…

Note from the author:

We all find things we are looking for in many different ways…but we always find the one thing we need in only one way…being open to the unknown, believing that what is ours, is put aside somewhere and is waiting for the right time to be discovered.
