Bold Crusade

Keep looking for the rainbow…because life is art, so live yours in colour.

There are times when pictures are enough to tell the story…share the emotion…create the joy of daydream…

…and sometimes words can whisper the fairy tale…

This week I will take you on a journey of the knights…the extraordinary champions, MaxFactorX.

I am always searching for something new, special or just different…but most of the time, I am surprised to realise that I don’t really need to scavenge so much…

The fairy tale, that something special…is part of me, just waiting to come out, to come true…I just require a full bucket of creativity 🙂

Well, when talking about MaxFactor…there is plenty of creativity and so much more of bold fascination for colour, taste and texture.

I don’t know about you but there is nothing I love more than the scent of sweetness on my lips…and besides my own charm, all I need is some Blush25 by MaxFactor.

As always, we look better in pairs, matching and accompanied 🙂

So, this time, I have some ideas for a perfect match making!

My choice might not be your choice…and that is just fair, but may the bold and beautiful be always your first pick!

Circle of Love

Life is too short to wear bad lipstick…so dream a little and dare even more!

It’s been a few months now, since I have dived into the fabulous world of lipsticks and the audacious circle of vibrant colours…and I will never look back 🙂

This week, we’ll stop and take a stare at the Avon Matte Collection…

Colours of the rainbow

I must admit, matt colours were never my first choice… but I always wanted to try them out. I wouldn’t choose a matt texture for every colour but I have discovered that most of the time, when it comes to bold and strong shades, matt is the way to go.

While writing, I am browsing through the many photos I took and I find them more inspiring than ever…maybe because, there is something fascinating about how colours make us feel.

Did you ever find yourself smiling without a real argument while admiring a bright and colourful scenery? We always say the same thing…‘it is beautiful’…’it is breathtaking’…or we just gaze silently; but we never really know how to explain the reasons why…

Colours are somehow like magic…they take us by surprise…they give us a warm and misty feel…they make us smile and light up.

Who could have guessed that a lipstick has such a great potential? 🙂

You deserve to be always smiling…and if a bold beautiful colour can make that happen…what are you waiting for?

Choose your ‘circle of love’, enhance your collection of sweet lips and master the power of silky touch…you never know what you might uncover.

Keep on smiling and just know that you do not always need a reason!

Taste of Plum

Second chapter of the Sweet Lips Chronicles…it’s all about the taste.

I remember a time when bright colours were just for summer time…to be worn and displayed on holidays…far away from our day-to-day habitat!

Even now…how often you find yourself being bolder and more adventurous amongst strangers?

In an ideal world, we should be ourselves in our most comfortable surroundings, which on paper should be our home, our family, our friends and colleagues…but for some unknown reason, most of us experienced the odd moment when you feel like truly being yourself anywhere else but where you should…

This year, I’ve spent my holiday a little bit further from home and as any tourist in the world I have set my mind up to try new things, meet new people … taste interesting cuisines and make memories for a life time.

I never really thought about changing my make up bag or be more daring with colours…but as any unplanned and unforeseeable thing, I have returned with a new taste between my dessert choices 🙂

The taste of plum…or as we all know it…sweet purple lips!

I have moved my research ground beyond Maybelline New York and Rimmel London…

Urban Decay… here I am!

I have found one beautiful and not to mention tasty colour that I couldn’t resist… Seismic Sheer Shimmer (top picture).

But I haven’t stopped there…

I was enjoying this new-found confidence too much 🙂

From just an innocent bite of plum, I’ve dived into a whole basket of tempting choices and I had to have them all 🙂

Some love to collect stamps…some just do not bother…

Me on the other hand…I fell in love with sweet colour lipstick and I never want to go back!

Life is too short to spend it wondering about ‘what if’ or ‘should I’ …

Just be fearless and give it a go…might that be a bold colour lipstick or blind dating 🙂

Be the person you wish to be…the very best version of YOU!

Now…go ahead, find the most eye-catching colour and make it your very own!

…and never forget to make it delicious 🙂

Coffee Lipstick

It seems most of my mornings have the same ritual…

Alarm shock…dream of a dream…coffee hit…lipstick flavour…road trip 🙂

But there is one of these so-called rituals that deserves a little more attention and love … the beautiful and mystical rouge.

I’ve always believed that magic happens when a woman puts on lipstick…from a young age we play with make-up, loving the feel of mum’s powder on our cheeks, the taste of her  red lipstick and the scent of her favourite perfume.

I haven’t been a huge fan of any lipstick for a long time…always thought of myself as more of a lip gloss girl…just liked the light and natural feel of a neutral colour.

But I must admit…there is no similar sentiment to the one you have when you break out of the bubble of neutral colours!

For the next few weeks I will try to share with you my recent adventures in the wonderful world of extreme shades and how my confidence completely changed when it comes to lipstick 🙂

First post of the Sweet Lips Chronicles is all about the coffee…

…and if you are a tea lover …keep reading as these colours can still be your best fit!

When it comes to coffee, I am all about the taste and the creamy milk…there is nothing more comforting than the warm hug of a freshly made morning drink.

I don’t know about you but this is all I need to keep me going…

I believe that is no coincidence the make-up industry chose to name their lipstick colours after tasty drinks, delicious desserts and attractive lines that make us feel more confident and every now and then invincible.

When it comes to rouge, the colours of coffee work with pretty much everything.

Forget about the notion that dark brown or extreme pink don’t work for you because the colour of your eyes, the shape of your lips or some other excuse that you’ve thought of or you’ve read in a magazine.

When I choose the colour of my lipstick, I think about a few things:

  • Hair style – it might sound silly but it does make a difference; for example the stronger and bolder colours look better when your hair is up in a bun or ponytail
  • Makeup – especially your eyes; always try to match the colour of your lips with the shades of your eyeshadow…the golden rule is to choose which one you want to take out for a walk…your killer look or your delicious lips…never both; a bold lipstick will shine with a neutral eye makeup
  • Clothing – a strong red lips will look amazing with a red top or for a more subtle look with a beautiful red heels

img_3714-1

I have definitely tried a few coffee shades, but in the end I couldn’t choose between two brands…

And the winners are… Maybelline New York and Rimmel London!

I would love to hear what is your most loved coffee shade lipstick…share the best one you’ve ever used 🙂

‘Leave your print’

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous “, Coco Chanel

What makes you feel fabulous?

Is it just fashion…is it clothing?

Beauty comes from within, from that feeling of confidence!

That make-up or no make-up, trendy or just casual, sometimes is less important than the image that reflects back, which should always make you smile and feel beautiful:)

On this week’s fashion piece I’ll share with you one of this year’s key styles…you might have it in your wardrobe from years back or it might be that you will fall in love with it…here and now:)

Beautiful prints

Everywhere you look…there they are…flowers, leaves, birds, different design prints in billion of colours. I admit, it’s not for everyone but I do think we all should own one item that has this year’s stamp on it:)

2015-04-19 10.55.56_20150420232527316-1

I love a little bit of colour…not too much or too many at the same time, but beside black and white and all the shades of grey, you do need a splash of YOU…and nothing will make you feel better or even yourself than wearing your favourite colour:)

Next to a print, especially a neutral colour print always put a bit of colour…

But then again, if you page through the latest fashion magazines, you will see that this year, you can wear print with print and denim with denim!

That does not mean you should actually do it:))))

It comes down to preference and taste!

2015-04-19 10.54.36-1

Most of us are a little bit reluctant to wear bright colours or too many flowers…that is ok:) Look around, see what you like, what makes you feel good and wear it!

At the end of the day…trends are here to help you express yourself…how you choose to do it…it’s all up to you!

Have a week in style:)
