‘Hello Blogging 101’

We always need a challenge, a reason to step forward and get to know the best version of ourselves.

This month I am taking part in Blogging 101 and Photo 101…I am excited of learning new things but most of all I am eager to grow this amazing family of bloggers and discover brand new worlds:)

First assignment of Blogging 101 – “Introduce Yourself to the World”

Most of you know me really well already but I might still have a couple of things to pull out of my invisible hat:)

This is me…

Your author who, just recently, felt comfortable in saying it out loud that she is a writer and that maybe someday she will have the honour to sign a book with her name on the cover:)

But until then…

I am a fashionista…I love the catwalk, the art and design and I’ve created this blog as the first step in this amazing journey of self discovery. I am in love with photography and every picture I take creates a whole new world that feeds my imagination:)

My favourite colour is Red…

It’s not just a colour to me…it’s a state of mind, “a mirror to my soul”, if you want…

Red is passion, creativity and love…but it’s also the colour of blood, fire and danger!

So here I am, caught in the middle and finding the balance quite beautiful and terribly intoxicating…

My blog it’s my own way of loving life as it is, constantly learning, dreaming and pursuing happiness!

I love baking…

The luxurious taste of dark chocolate and salty caramel…I indulge myself in sweet temptation every time I open the door to the land of endless desserts:)

Also, I am not a stranger to savoury and the beautiful flavour of herbs and spices…

Did I make you wonder? If I did, join me in my little secret ‘Kitchen Corner’ every week and discover what is that I call scrumptiously tasty!

Movie adoration…

I grew up with these amazing stories on the big screen that opened up the world of fantasy and fable but also created a fantastic collection of movies…which I am sharing with you in the hopes that it might bring to life the same emotions I’ve lived while watching them:)

Follow my short reviews that are mostly teasing my readers to go out and watch these movies:)

A little secret

I am completely, irreversibly, entirely, utterly, absolutely in love…

My Red World

Thank you for joining me on this journey and I hope that together we can go out there and paint the town red!

Paint the town red!

‘The perfect time and place’

One day…

The perfect time and place…

The only place I could ever call home…

It might sound as a ‘cliche’, but the moment I’ve said ‘YES’, everything changed…our lives became one, our hearts took the same rhythm and home turn out to be anywhere in the world…with one essential piece…being together!

I’ve learned throughout the years that home it’s not necessarily a place…sometimes it’s a state of mind, a feeling of belonging…not to a specific location but to a person.

“Home is where the hearts is”…this quote keeps coming back to me…and if I am being honest with myself, my life it’s based on it, because home for me it’s him…not a country or a city or even a house…home is where I left my heart…

No. of words = 136

Timer 10 minutes

This was the topic I was challenged to answer by my lovely fellow blogger Lucy at Icecoffeecoutureūüôā Thank you Lucy, it was fun:) I love free style writing challenges so here are the rules:

Open an MS Word document (or Pages)

1. Set a stop watch or your mobile to 5 minutes or 10 minutes whichever challenge you think you can beat. (Not sure what that meant so I just set the timer for 10)

2. Your topic is at the foot of this post BUT DO NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY WITH A TIMER.

3. Fill the word doc with as many words as you want. Once you began writing do not stop even to turn.

4. Do not cheat by going back and correcting spellings and grammar with spell check in MS WORD (it is only meant for you to reflect on your own control of sensible thought flow and for you to reflect on your ability to write the right spelling and stick to grammar rules)

5. You may or may not pay attention to punctuation and capitals. However, if you do, it would be best.

6. At the end of your post write down ‚ÄėNo. Of words =_____‚Äô so that we would have an idea of how much you can write within the time frame.

7. Do not forget to copy paste the entire passage on your blog post with a new Topic for your nominees and copy paste these rules with your nominations (at least 5 bloggers)

The nomination list it’s wide open…if you want to get on board and take a journey with us, please take part in this challenge and create a pingback to this post:)

As I am trying to be extremely efficient, this post it’s my first entry to the amazing Photo 101 Class:) It’s a picture that is close to my heart and falls into the theme of ‘Home’!

‘In the mood for love’

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Vivid.”

Open your eyes,

Breath in the air…

Feel the warm touch

of a love affair…

Purple heart

Another week of sharing our thoughts with images…

I love so much these photo challenges and in today’s post, it’s all about strong emotions…nothing is stronger than love:)

I would like to also link this post to Photo Rehab 101…a place where you can share your passion for photography and connect with some great bloggers. One of my lovely fellow bloggers, Lucile, introduced me to the Rehab Clinic Photo 101…thanks again! Have a look at her page, there are some amazing stories and photos, ¬†that will inspire you:)

Here is the address for the Rehab Clinic, if you share the same symptoms:)

This blog hosted ‚ÄėThe Photo101 Rehab Clinic‚Äô from 04 to 31 December 2014 and featured over 170 photos made by¬†Photobloggers Andy Townend,¬†Mara Eastern,¬†Cardinal Guzman,¬†DesleyJane,¬†Justine,¬†Amy,¬†Teresa, Albert,¬†Terri,¬†Giving Thought,¬†Ellen,¬†Nalinki,¬†Mariangeles,¬†DwayCrafts,¬†Lucy,¬†Terri,¬†Bampa‚Äôs Views,¬†PeaceCrafting,¬†Dreaming of Leaving¬†and¬†Project Easier.

As former patients informed me¬†that the withdrawal symptoms remained active, and new patients recognized the same symptoms,¬†The Clinic ‚Äď Photo Rehab¬†¬†reopened its doors.

You can do a¬†self-examination. If you detect any of the following symptoms, as carefully described by¬†Albert from the¬†blog¬†Passionately Curious,¬†come and join us: ‚ÄúWithdrawal symptoms may include the incessant need to carry your camera everywhere with you, the need to wake up in the wee hours to take photos during the golden hour, and checking up on others you met during the course to see what their newfound knowledge has brought fruit to.‚ÄĚ

How to join:

Time: The Clinic is open 24 x 7 until the healing process ends.

Camera: You can use any camera, from DSLR, mirrorless, compact, to smartphones.

Theme: Bring your creativity and photograph a theme of your liking in B&W or Color. With or without edition. We like learning techniques as well, if you want to share it with everyone.

Who can join: Anyone can join; and not only former Photo 101 bloggers. All you need is passion. Passion to speak up through images ‚Äď or words, if you may want to add your thoughts to it as well ‚Äď showing what you see and how much that is important to you.

Thanks for joining and enjoy it.

‘Liebster Saga’ Episode Three

‚ÄúA grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts to itself great things.‚ÄĚ Plato

My Liebster Saga continues and I couldn’t be happier…I have so many wonderful people around me and everything I achieve is a huge credit to them as to my unstoppable desire to paint the world red:)))

Screen Shot 2015-05-17 at 20.44.35

Here are the Award rules to follow:

  • Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
  • Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post.
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.
  • Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

Thank you so much Romina¬†for this nomination, I hope I am going to live up to your expectations and be the Ambassador for DietYogaEnergy¬†for one day only:) I know you love strawberries, so the core ingredient for today’s post is…Red, tasty, juicy¬†STRAWBERRYūüôā

Let’s get started:)

Here are Romina’s questions!

1. Hi! What’s your favourite fruit?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36¬†Hello:) I would say that my favourite fruit is cherry…but I love fruits in general, I don’t think I dislike any of them!

2. Do you speak a language other than English? (If yes, what language?)

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36 Yes, I speak italian, french and spanish:)

3. Where would you go if you could live in another country for the rest of your life?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36 I would live in the amazing forever green cradle of Tuscany!

4. What do you think is your spirit animal?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36¬†I’ve never thought of that…I guess it might be the jaguar:), just because I love them but I am not sure if I identify with its behaviour completely!

5. What’s your favourite exercise/ fitness routine?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36¬†I don’t have a favourite one, just because I like variety:) I found that once the body gets used to a certain routine, the effect of it, drops really fast, so I like to change my fitness routine as often as I can!

6. Have you ever tried any vegan recipes (no meat, no dairy/milk, no eggs) of your favourite food?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36 Not that I can remember, but I do give up all these ingredients and become a vegan for six weeks every year.

7. What city did you grow up in?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36¬†I like to leave a bit of mystery when it comes to write about myself:) I would say one thing about the place I’ve grew up in…’you could smell the salt in the air, feel the sand between your toes and hide under the trees from the hot sunshine’.

8. If aliens landed on Earth, would you rather stay and hide from them or take an unknown adventure into outer space away from the planet?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36¬†Interesting question…as much as I love discovering the unknown and embark onto an adventure, I love Earth to much to leave:)

9. What’s your favourite dessert / sweets?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36 It has to be triple chocolate cake with wild berries:)

10. If you had the chance to change one big thing in the world, what would you change?

Screen Shot 2015-05-23 at 23.37.36 This is a hard one:( I would definitely try and raise more awareness around the exploitation of our environment and the devastation that it could cause. I think we tend to forget that everything around us can survive without us but we cannot survive without it!

Now it’s my turn again to nominate some amazing bloggers for the Liebster Award:

Congratulations to you all…it was difficult to choose only ten blogs…but as this award is especially made for discovering new and exciting paths in this community, I would say it’s worth you having a¬†look at these 10 blogs and you never know…you might find¬†something you like:)

Here are my questions to you:

1. Why do you blog?

2. What are the first five words that describe you?

3. What is that you always wanted but never got?

4. Did you ever danced in the rain? Would you?

5. How is your perfect pizza look like?

6. What was the last picture you took?

7. What is your motto in life?

8. What is the best book you ever read?

9. What is the simplest thing that makes you smile?

10. Best compliment you’ve received?

We’ve reached the end of Liebster Saga,¬†episode three and I feel very happy:)

Thank you again for the nomination and I hope you’ve enjoyed discovering new blogs and new horizons!

Your nominee,
