quote 11

Ever step we take it’s a choice, even if we don’t think about it…

There are choices we have the power to take ourselves and some that are taken for us…and every now and then it might be a leap forward or a fall back.

…but when is it a fall back and when is it just a step back to safety?

I’ve always avoided change because of the unknown but at the same time I want to step out of my comfort zone and experience growth…I believe that dreams are not made in closed bubbles, dreams and achievements are out there, on the other side of the road, where we rarely dare to cross…either because of the heavy traffic or because we might not be able to turn back if we wanted to.

Choices we make each day take us one step closer to our goals…and some just shield us from the risk of having to adjust, because sometimes stepping back into safety is the right choice.

How do you know when is time to step forward?

I think we always know the answer but we fight it … we need external validation, assurance that stepping forward is a success and not just a guess!

How do you choose between growth or safety?

Quote 10

Life is sometimes much more simple than we think…

I admit that there are moments when I forget how to enjoy an effortless gesture…a stranger’s smile…a friend’s hug!

Last week we talked about the anxiety of life…and as much as we don’t want to think about it…it’s there, in our every day routine, the weekend rush and the morning call.

Every now and then you meet new people who remind you that happiness does exist and it doesn’t cost a thing…all we have to do is let it happen…let it happen to us, be open and accept the simple but wonderful moments that life is giving us.

…and yes, life is not always fluffy like cotton candy and occasionally it feels like a room with four walls closing slowly around you and even if at some point you do find that window towards the sunrise or the door to a new beginning…we still hang on to the past, to the sorrow and pain that prevents us from appreciating and celebrating what’s good and beautiful in our life.

If today was a good day…why aren’t you smiling?

If you’ve reached your destination…why don’t you stop running?

If your dream came true…why are you not celebrating?

If faith is giving you a hand…why don’t you accept it?

Because the only obstacle between you and happiness is your own willingness to accept it!

Look around…and enjoy the incredible, because it’s happening to you!

When was the last time you’ve enjoyed the moment?

quote 9

Every day is different…

Silence or anxiety, we still need to find ways of dealing with every little thing that comes our way!

I admit that sometimes I feel overwhelmed…too many things are happening instantaneously and I forget how to breathe! Someone told me once that life is stressful enough, we don’t need to add anything to it…and it’s so true.

Sometimes we panic about the future…the future that didn’t happen yet.

Why?

We forget to live in the moment and we throw away all our energy on assumptions, predictions and thoughts of what will be.

But that is just human nature!

I think about the future all the time and there are moments when too much anxiety takes me away from the present and then I find that second that can pull me back to reality because I know that I will regret more something I could miss now than any future prospect.

What is anxiety of life?

Is it fear of failure, questions of the unknown, doubt against accomplishment?

I think is all of that and so much more…

How to deal with it…how to conquer it?

…with one breath at a time…

Make a choice…and share your thoughts behind this week’s quote ūüôā

quote 8

This week’s quote is about choices…

I’ve always believed that when the moment comes I will know which road to follow…but it’s not always that simple!

Every day we have to make choices…from the most simple ones of what to eat for breakfast to more complicate ones that may change our life entirely and sometimes we take them without thinking too much or analysing endlessly…

But there are moments in our lives when choosing doesn’t make us feel more confident in what’s expecting us in the next chapter, it feels more like a hill we are not sure we should climb.

Some will say…’be happy to have a choice…not everyone does’!

It is true…we should feel privileged when the power it is in our hands…but that doesn’t make it easier, because with every choice we make, a new path is born and how do we know if it is the right one?!

If I think about it more than I should…our whole life is a limitless line of choices and maybe it’s ok not to be sure of some because sometimes you just have to have faith it will work out.

Did you make your choice?

Was it the right one?

I would love to read your thoughts on it…

Take a small step and join us… share your thoughts behind the quote of the week:)

quote 7

This week’s quote is a slight extension of our discussion from last week about planning and trusting.

Did you ever wonder why do we plan if we might change it all again?

Reading this quote, makes me think of one thing only…our future is not set in stone…we might not believe it but we do have the power to change it.

If you ever felt like your path was decided for you…this moment can be your start in taking charge of your own destiny. Nothing in this life is certain but what is always present is our own will and power to change for the better.

As intelligent people, we always thrive to do better…achieve more…constantly improve and even so, change is not something we consistently welcome with arms wide open.

Why?

Do we only accept change when it has a direct and positive effect on ourselves?

Yes…and it’s only human to feel like that!

How do you deal with change?

Is your future an open book or a well written story?

Red Echo Date

‘Red Echo Date’ #6

quote 6

I do wonder sometimes if there is anyone out there…that can actually not plan, not think of planning or not be consumed by trying to control every aspect of their existence.

As simple as it might sound…it is extremely hard to let go or even just breathe! If you stop for a second and think about it, it’s silly…because you breathe every second of every minute, but the moment you have to think about it…everything becomes much harder.

Most of us are definitely organisers….head planners of our lives and we like to think we are in control of our own destiny…but are we?

When was the last time you let something in the hands of chance?

It’s not easy, isn’t it?

I’ve personally never liked to plan…I do believe that you can forge your own path and fight for what you want but at the same time there is a bigger picture behind the curtains that we don’t always see.

I don’t plan as much as I keep control over things around me…I live ‘the now’ and rarely let go to see what might happen:)

But even so I do feel the need to stop…make sure I am still breathing and trust that things will work out!

I do believe it takes more courage to step back and let the story unwind than to keep planning without knowing what might happen!

When was the last time you’ve trusted that things will happen the way they should?

Life will always be like a crystal ball…sometimes showing a clear path but most of the time open to interpretation, so take a minute and enjoy your life, trust yourself and see what happens!

At the end of the day when the sun drowns into the ocean and the stars cover the sky, we should only ask ourselves one question:

Did we live it or did we plan it?

Believe me…they are not one and the same!
