Most used word right now…’Wiser’!

Some of you might remember that a few months ago I’ve started a challenge based on a 28 day juice diet…if you don’t, I really don’t blame you as I have abandoned ship a little bit and took a break from blogging:)

Anyway…I do believe I owe you…my beautiful reader…an ending to my Juice Diary journey!

So here it goes…

I’ve always loved a healthy lifestyle…eating well, sleeping enough, working as much…smiling and loving life even more…but as we all know, everyone has their little secret corner of so-called ‘not so healthy’ choices.

…and you know what?

It is ok…because life is too short to miss out on those little but delicious misdeeds that make us somehow happier, even for just a blink of an eye:)

What is not acceptable…is turning those little slip-ups in brand new lifestyle choices!

To be honest, it’s very easy to trade your carrot sticks for golden crispy fries.

Would you say, you never done it?

It might happen every now and then but what you do not want to do is give up carrots all together and fill up your snack drawer with bags of crisps and sugary treats:)

I believe that following a juice plan was somehow an attempt to escape a dangerous road made out of chocolate and sprinkled with powdered sugar!

My Juice Journey was a very interesting one…

It started out as an experiment but it ended up to be a lesson for a lifetime.

I did not manage to live just on juice for 28 days…and you might say that I’ve failed, but I do not feel defeated in any shape or form:)

I’ve completed the Super Juice Me plan but with a personalised twist…because you always should stay true to yourself!

I’ve survived 14 glorious days purely just on juice and it was amazing and painful at the same time. My plan was always to make it throughout the 28 days but I really didn’t know how…

After 2 weeks of juicing my body couldn’t pull through just with juiced carrots and apples; but my eagerness of succeeding was too strong…so there was only one way out…get customising.

I thought long and hard on how can I keep having the juices but also get back into the kitchen and cook…because honestly, I think that is what I’ve missed the most…the smell of fresh herbs, the taste of beautiful ingredients put together to make something flavorful.

After two weeks of Super Juicing I’ve fallen in love with these drinks…there is nothing tastier than juiced pineapple with beetroot, banana, apples and a handful of spinach…

I’ve never thought I would ever say this…but the juice works in mysterious ways:)

Don’t get me wrong…there were some weird and questionable ones…from which my taste buds will not recover but 90% of the recipes are just something you do not want to forget.

So, I’ve come up with a plan…keep the best of both worlds…beautiful fresh juices and luscious but healthy cooked meals that will make me happier each day.

My journey towards the last 14 days was something to remember…

I’ve kept the morning and evening juices from the plan and had a light and delicious cooked lunch during the day…the best laid out plan!

I’ve mastered self-control by eating less but so much better…discovered some amazing new recipes (which I will share with you all in the upcoming weeks), made a friend for life, my Juicer:) and discovered the secret to a healthier ‘me’… less is always more!

As much as you think you will lose weight by eating less or living for 28 days on juice…these are just solutions for a second and not more.

If you want to feel better, be healthier…it’s all about moderation.

I’ve never wanted to give up chocolate cake…and I never will…but I’ve learned that with the correct fitness exercises, healthy home cooking and better choices, I never have to…

It’s just about self-discipline…what to have, when and how much!

I’ve never believed in diet plans…in starving yourself to feel or look better…because the reality is that they never truly work unless you make a real change to your entire lifestyle.

Quick, short or long and never-ending diets will only deliver a temporary result…we all know that but for some reason some of us still decide to go for it.

Some learn immediately and some don’t…sometimes later than never is better…because once you’ve realised that you do not have to give up what you love, you just have to have less of it…you own the secret for a healthier and happier you:)

That was my lesson from a simple Juice Plan…and even if I’ve stopped living just on juice:) I never stopped juicing:)
