Hello Beautiful Bloggers,
I’ve recently finished my Photo 101 course and I can’t seem to be able to leave my camera at home anymore or even being able to walk down the street without stopping a thousand times to capture small but extraordinary moments of our world… and I know I am not the only one:)
What is Camera Lucida?
Well, let’s see…
camera lucida |ˌkam(ə)rə ˈluːsɪdə|
an instrument in which rays of light are reflected by a prism to produce an image on a sheet of paper, from which a drawing can be made.
I’ve thought that is just a beautiful description of something quite out of the ordinary…and that is what I want to achieve with this new challenge I’ve embarked on today:)
Every week I will set a new theme to follow in my photography journey and I hope you will want to join me and display your creations on what I call “Your Gallery”
How to join us?
Follow your host and share each week your own vision of the theme.
Create a new post with the title CAMERA LUCIDA followed by the theme name.
The content of the post is completely down to you, share just the photo or be even more creative and tell us the story behind the scene, make it your own.
Feel free to use the ‘Your Gallery’ badge in your post and link back to the last Camera Lucida challenge or just leave a link to your post in the comment box.
Please tag your post #cameralucida so other participants can find the entries on the Reader.
So do not forget to tag and link back, this way your post will be visible to others outside your followers 🙂
You will have seven days to introduce your snapshot to everyone.
At the end of each challenge I will share with you all the entries and introduce you to their makers. Make sure you visit their blogs, share honest feedback and be supportive.
An exhibition where your visual perception captures the world and gives life to a new story.
If you’ve just joined Camera Lucida Photo Challenge, you can find all the themes just below ( Please make sure you link back to the one you choose to interpret):
Camera Lucida #3 The Park Bench
Camera Lucida #4 Nature’s Dessert
Camera Lucida #5 Black and Green
Camera Lucida #10 The Colour of Life
Camera Lucida #14 Garden Treasure
Camera Lucida #15 Self Portrait
Camera Lucida #16 Winter Mornings
Camera Lucida #19 Beautiful Imperfections
Your Camera Addict,
Julia

Hi there, I have recently started following Camera Lucida and am trying to post something in Out Of Place. As I am just learning I am having difficulty doing the ltitle and linking it, I can get it to work in my main body of text but cant seem to place a link in the Title box . Am I doing something wrong?
Help would be appreciated as I love photo challenges
Thanks
Adrienne

Hello Adrienne, I am really happy to have you here at Camera Lucida! I am going to try to give a step by step guide, if it doesn’t work I am more than happy to send you an email with some snapshots:)
Use this to link back:
https://myredpage.wordpress.com/2015/08/19/camera-lucida-out-of-place/
Title your post Camera Lucida-Out of Place, tag it CameraLucida, this way others can find your post in the Reader!
In the title you won’t be able to place a link, it will only work within the post:)
Some of the participants start the post like this:
‘This post is in response to Camera Lucida Photo Challenge, this week’s theme: Out of Place.’
Have a look at this link from WordPress on how to create ping backs:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
Let me know if you’ve managed to do it, if not I’ll send you an email with some snapshots as guide:)

Thank you for the invitation. Creating the post brought back that feeling of Enchantment for sure! I really hope this new feature of yours takes off and I will submit whenever possible!
Again, thank you and all my best to you.
PS I am certain an ancient wise crone lives in your enchanted cottage. The villagers timidly approach her door just before dawn to ask the big questions. The concerns and aspirations that have gone unresolved too long.
