Plum in a crumble…

Welcome back to my beautiful and tasty Kitchen Corner 🙂

Today is all about the sweet and sour … juicy and delicious plum in a crumble.

What do you do when you have to many plums?

Besides maybe using them in a savoury dish…I usually just eat them fresh 🙂

But this time I have found an easy and quick way to make a delicious dessert.

Ingredients: 750 g plums (stoned), 2tbs sugar, 2tsp grated lemon, 1 tsp cinnamon.

For the crumble: 240g plain flour, 150g unsalted butter at room temperature, 80g caster sugar, 80g Demerara sugar and 50g ground almond.

To serve: cream or ice-cream 🙂 (I’ve used cream this time around)

Method: Pre-heat the oven to 180°.

Wash the plums and remove the stones. If the stones are difficult to remove, you can always just slice the pulp off close to the pit.

Mix the plums with the sugar, grated lemon and cinnamon and place them into a oven-proof dish with a bit of depth.

Place all the ingredients for the crumble into a food processor and mix until it comes together, it should resemble to a sandy mixture with no lumps.

Spread the crumble mixture on the plums and place the dish into the oven for about 35 minutes or until it becomes golden brown and you can see the plum juice sizzling on the sides… this was the highlight of the preparation 🙂

Serve while still warm no matter if you use cream or ice-cream as topping.

It’s one of the best recipes I have tried for a plum based dessert…

Let me know what you think 🙂

Luscious Chocolate…

This week, I’ve chosen to share the many shades of chocolate…

Between milk chocolate, sweet and chilli, white and dark…cacao is one of the most loved ingredients when it comes to delicious desserts… and lipsticks 🙂

Dark burgundy, hazel…chestnut or coffee…dark chocolate and rich burnt caramel…they are all luscious.

I have discovered some of the best shades of brown within the Maybelline New York collection…

Did you ever wished your lipstick could be edible?

I know I have…many times 🙂

This year is all about colour, shades and the invisible line between night and day…

Dark colours are not always meant for everyday all day…or so we thought!

In the past, strong colours in make-up were always associated to evening but today it seems to have crossed that barrier.

My choice has to be Burgundy Blush Maybelline New York…it has a bit of shine and it’s perfectly chocolate 🙂

…but the world is full of shades of chocolate bonbons…

It’s now your turn to find the sweetest one for YOU 🙂

Red Portrait

There is no doubt that if you follow my blog, you know what is my favourite colour and also that I love to play with the way I display it 🙂

For that reason, this post is somehow closer to my soul…

This week, let’s take a cardinal journey and paint a red portrait…

I have tried and tested many shades of red…to my surprise, there are some that look better than others…and I only mean this when it comes to lipstick 🙂

Between the well-known brands like, Avon, Maybelline, Rimmel, Revlon, Max Factor…I found many that do the job, but not all would be The One.

You have probably noticed by now that my short chronicles are not always brand reviews…I like to play a bit with different products, find the hidden art that they could be, when placed in a contradictory scene.

My Choice…Maybelline New York – ‘Pleasure Me Red 547’

Between all the different products that you could find in the lipstick basket…when it comes to red, I’ve made my choice…

When it comes to art…well, that is a different story 🙂

Avon – Red Tulip

As much as it looks beautiful on the lips (Avon Red Tulip)…on this occasion it was a great way for me to express the appeal of red.

Sometimes it’s about the feeling that we have, when putting on red lipstick…

We feel empowered, more confident and attractive…

Is it because of the colour or because of what we think it means?

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I can conquer the world…me and my red lips 🙂

Dior in a Frame…Rouge Royal 858

…and for those of you who prefer it a bit lighter…take the Rouge Royal and try a Dior Lip Gloss.

Either way, never forget…you are the one who makes it look good!

Always be YOU!
